GREATER GULF STATE FAIR POLICIES
The Greater Gulf State Fair maintains the following policies and Code of Conduct in order to ensure the safety and security of our patrons, staff, and volunteers.
The Greater Gulf State Fair is Private Property. The Fair is under the jurisdiction of the City of Mobile Police Department.

Code of Conduct

Any and all trash must disposed of in the proper receptacles

Appropriate attire must be worn at all times
-
No alcoholic beverages will be permitted, including in the parking lots
-
No prohibited bags
-
No concealed or open carry weapons (even with a Permit)
-
No activities or behaviors that could endanger or annoy other patrons (radios, playing music, profanity)
-
No exposed underwear or baggy pants under the waist (sagging)
-
No outside food and/or beverages
-
No gang-related clothes, colors, signs, jewelry, or activities
-
No loitering, blocking entryways, or large walking groups that inconvenience other patrons
-
No standing on chairs or benches
-
No pets, except service animals permitted by the Americans with Disabilities Act and animals included in exhibits or acts
-
No soliciting or any kind
-
No smoking or vaping
​The Fair reserves the right to search any and all bags, strollers, clothing, cups, your person, and/or any other objects deemed to be a possible carrier of any and all prohibited items and/or any destructive or lethal device.

Weapons
Weapons (concealed or open carry) are NOT allowed on the property even if you are a Concealed Weapon Permit Holder. Weapons include but are not limited to the following:

Pocket knives

Clear Bag Policy
In order to maintain a safe, entertaining environment, the Fair will maintain a Clear Bag Policy. This policy is similar to those used at major sporting events and other events in the country. Any and all bags will be subject to search upon arrival and any bags that exceed the permitted size will not be allowed in.

Approved bags are as follows:

Clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags that DO NOT exceed 12"x 6" x 12" - logos must be no larger than 4.5" x 3.4" and can be displayed only on one side

One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Like a Ziploc bag or similar)
-
Small clutch bags no larger than 4.5" x 6.5" - around the size of a hand, with or without a handle strap
-
Diaper bags (Must be inspected and tagged)
-
Medically necessary items (Must be inspected and tagged)
Prohibited bags include, but are not limited to:

Purses and/or clutch bags larger than 4.5" x 6.5"

Backpacks

Clear backpacks

Binocular cases

Camera cases

Cinch/drawstring bags

Fanny packs

Youth Curfew
All patrons 17 years of age or younger MUST be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or chaperone aged 21 years of age or older after 7 PM to enter the Fair. Parents, legal guardians, or chaperones must accompany no more than 5 minors. Adults are to remain at the Fair if they are accompanying minors. Patrons may be required to show a valid form of ID. Valid forms of ID include but are not limited to: drivers license, non-drivers license, military ID, passport, Green Card, or US Visa. We maintain a strict no drop off policy.

Offensive Clothing Policy
Any patron wearing clothing or jewelry or other personal items that Fair Management deems offensive or gang-related will not be allowed into the Fair. Exceptions and challenges will be answered at the discretion of Fair Management.
Security and Safety Policies
Our patrons' safety is of top concern to the Fair. Surveillance cameras will be operating during each day of the Fair, 24 hours a day. Again, the Fair is under the jurisdiction of the City of Mobile Police Department. Officers will be monitoring the Fair during each day of the Fair.

Service Animals permitted by the American with Disabilities Act are the only animals allowed.

Drones and Unmanned Aircraft Systems
Drones will not be permitted to fly over our Midway. Our Fair is close to the Mobile Regional Airport and the Coast Guard Training Facility. Drones may pose a threat to commercial and/or military aircraft. Law enforcement will be notified immediately if this policy is violated.

Soliciting
Any form of soliciting is strictly prohibited. Any patron found soliciting during the duration of the Fair will be removed from the Fair.

Smoking/Vaping
Smoking and vaping are not allowed.

Ticket Sales Policy
No re-sale or public promotion of Fair tickets unless explicit permission is given by the Fair.
All companies, organizations, and individuals are welcome to purchase tickets and ride wristbands
If a patron violates the Ticket Sales Policy, we reserve the right to void any and all tickets purchased by the patron All tickets, wristbands, and coupons become void after the last day of the Fair.

Photo Policy
Photo, video, and audio may be taken for promotion purposes. By entering the Fair, you consent, waive all rights to royalties, and release the Fair of any liability. You agree to your likeness being used, published, or reproduced in any and all media, which can be used now or in the future, for any and all purposes by or in connection with the Fair, its sponsors, organizers, and providers.
